Thank you for your interest in joining the local body of Christ at Whitney Baptist Church. Membership is an incredible opportunity and step of faith for each believer.  While church membership is not necessary for salvation, it is a practical way for us to live out the principles we find in the New Testament.  

Through membership we make a commitment to the Lord and to each other. Our desire is to glorify God together by loving, serving and strengthening each other in our faith. Through this accountability, we gain a security that encourages personal spiritual growth and provides a platform for using our gifts of service to advance God’s purposes. God uses our loving and mutual service to show the ways of Jesus to the watching world.  We highly encourage church membership as a means of personal growth and as a commitment to the building up of the body of Christ.
