grow with us

small groups

Our small groups are designed for encouragement, personal growth, and accountability. Jesus modeled this small group value through His ‘small group’ of disciples. Together they studied the Scriptures, prayed, shared daily life, and discussed how to live for God. At Whitney we believe that God designed us with the need to journey together, loving each other and becoming more like Christ. The value and intent of our small groups is to provide this much needed intimate and safe setting.

Discipleship & Mentoring

Our society continually bombards us with the question: “What are you going to do?” Here at Whitney, we believe the first and most important question is: “Who are you going to be?” We are encouraged in 2 Peter 1:5-9 to grow in faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness and love. It is our desire to connect you with individuals that will aid and strengthen you in your walk with Christ. Some of the most powerful times of growth are experienced through one-on-one discipleship and mentoring. If you would like to get involved in discipleship and mentoring at Whitney, please reach out to one of our pastors by filling out the info card here.

The Theology program

The Theology program is a tool we use to build and strengthen our body of believers. We use Credo House's six-course systematic theological studies program with the goal of strengthening our growth in Christ (Philippians 3:10) and worshiping God in spirit and truth (John 4:24). For more information, see the Credo House website.

If you would like to sign up to attend, please fill out the form here. We meet for 6 week-long courses on Sunday nights from 6-8 PM.

serve with us

At Whitney we see serving not as a task but as a key part of spiritual growth. It is in serving that we use our spiritual gifts and are given opportunities to turn our focus away from self and toward others. Our Savior’s life exemplified serving for us as He came to serve those in need. Serving at Whitney is one of the best ways to grow, connect, and live out the Gospel to our friends, neighbors, and world.

If you are interested in becoming more involved with serving at Whitney, contact us through our online info card or complete the volunteer application here.

giving

Giving and serving are essential parts of following Jesus and reflecting Him in our everyday lives. One of the ways to do this is trusting God in the area of finances. Often, God uses these practical steps of giving and serving to bring great growth and blessing. For passages on our principles of giving click here.

You can either give in person using the offering box in the back of the church or send a check to the church address:
