baptism

Baptism is the act of publicly immersing a person in water to symbolize that through faith in Jesus, God has made a way for the cleansing of sin and a new life for Him.  One of the ways the word ‘baptize’ was used was by those who dyed cloth.  The idea was that material would be placed in a tank of dye so that the dye saturated the entire cloth.  That is a great picture of what happens to us through Jesus.

When we are baptized, we show that like the cloth, we have been completely changed and “colored” by Jesus.  We are in Him, and He is now in us.  Baptism is an opportunity to share this great work God has done in our lives with the church and our family and friends.

If you are interested in taking this step please contact the church office or speak with one of the leaders.
